Bankart and Nova KBM set up first IP connection in the ATM Network
On Thursday, 8 May 2008, the experts of Bankart and Nova KBM connected the first working ATM through modern IP (Internet Protocol) Communication Network at the Headquarters of Nova KBM in Maribor, Ulica Vita Kraigherja 4.
Bankart d.o.o. manages the largest ATM network in Slovenia (www.bankomati.net). It applies the highest technical and safety standards, also to communication network. In line with modern trends and development of technology, Bankart’s experts have recently designed a complex network upgrade project which involves the transition from specific and closed communication protocol to modern Internet Protocol (IP).
This opens new possibilities to the clients – users of such ATMs, since the upgraded connections will improve safety in data exchange and enable new services, while for the banks – owners of ATMs in this network, it improves cost efficiency and the possibilities of ATM management.
