Today, 13.12.2006, Bankart interrupted ATM network operations from 2 a.m. until 5 a.m., in order to carry out testing of communication infrastructure throughput. ATMs did not work during the period of testing.

The purpose of the testing was to check the throughput of all parts of the communication infrastructure supporting the ATM network operations. The same procedure will have to be carried out on the shift to the euro on 31.12.2006, between 9 and 12 p.m., when the entire ATM network will also be out of work.

Testing results – Testing procedures were carried out in line with expectations and without complications. At 5 a.m. as many as 90% of ATM network were already operating. The remaining ATMs – in line with regular intervention procedures in case of the non-operation of an individual ATM or its communication links - were dealt with after 5 a.m.
