    Bankart, which joined the other European clearing companies by establishing the new SEPA payment system for internal credit payments in the beginning of the year, and KD Banka set up a formal basis and technical support, which enables KD Banka to begin with its operations through the SEPA payment system for internal credit payments.

    In co-operation with Abanka Vipa and the Printec company, the supplier of NCR ATMs, Bankart has successfully completed the development and implementation of a solution for automatic ATM cash deposits, which allows a user to simply insert banknotes (in values of €10, €20, €50 and €100) in the slot and have the funds deposited via the ATM immediately available in their transaction accounts.

Today, Bankart, the leading Slovene company in the field of processing modern payment instruments, included KD Banka d.d. into the SEPA payment system for internal credit payments, thus enabling it to offer its clients a uniform standard of payments with SEPA credit payment orders.
 
What is SEPA?
Introduction of payment instruments under the SEPA or Single Euro Payments Area standard enables residents, companies and other entities may pay and receive payments in euros within the Euro Area, including domestic and cross-border transactions, under the same terms and conditions, with the same rights and obligations, regardless of their location within the area. In geographical terms, SEPA comprises the 27 EU Member States, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
 
What is credit payment?
Credit payment is a payment ordered by the payer who submits a payment order, which is debited to the balance on the transaction account or covered by deposited cash and credited to the recipient of payment.
 
Use of uniform standard considerably simplifies the execution of payment orders
The use of this uniform standard considerably simplifies the execution of payment orders among banks and savings banks in different EU countries and is possible due to connections that exist between the clearing companies in this area. Therefore, Bankart is also able to provide connection with the trans-European payment system, which provides availability (possibility to pay and receive payments) of transaction accounts kept by all 4,400+ banks in the SEPA credit payments system to all participants in the EU.
 
From the beginning until today, the number of exchanged payment orders through the SEPA payment system for internal credit payments increased to more than 4.3 million transactions per month.
 
The participants of the SEPA payment system for internal credit payments are Abanka Vipa d.d., Banka Celje d.d., Banka Koper d.d., Banka Slovenije, Banka Sparkasse d.d., Banka Volksbank d.d., BKS Bank AG, Delavska hranilnica d.d., Deželna banka Slovenije d.d., Factor banka d.d., Gorenjska banka d.d., Hranilnica Lon d.d., Hranilnica Vipava d.d., Hypo Alpe-Adria bank d.d., Nova kreditna banka Maribor d.d., Nova Ljubljanska banka d.d., Poštna banka Slovenije d.d., Probanka d.d., Raiffeisen banka d.d., SKB banka d.d., Unicredit banka Slovenija d.d., Bank Association, and as of today also KD Banka d.d.
