Dear ATM users :

We regret to inform you that a new type of fraud has appeared at ATMs in Slovenia, which is described below, with instructions on how to recognize it, and how to act in the event of such fraud.

It is typical of this type of fraud that an ATM, because of a blockage installed in the card slot, cannot return the card to its holder. In such case do not type your PIN number, even if such an instruction is posted on the ATM and/or is suggested by someone nearby, who usually introduces himself or herself as a bank officer.

The PIN number should only be entered when the relevant instruction appears on the ATM screen.

If an ATM does not return the card, users are asked to report the event immediately to the Bankart authorization centre at 01 583 4183 or their local bank.
